Revenue share

Model where the affiliate receives a percentage of the NGR generated by the players they referred.

Also known as: revenue share · participação na receita

RevShare is the model where the affiliate receives a percentage of the net revenue (NGR) generated by the players they referred, usually for an indefinite term.

The risk sits with the affiliate: they only earn if the player has real value. That makes it the model that best aligns both sides' incentives, sending better traffic is worth more than sending more traffic.

Three clauses decide the deal's real value:

  • NGR definition: what exactly is deducted before the calculation. It is the source of most disputes.
  • Negative carry over: whether a negative month resets or carries into the next. Indefinite carry turns the contract into something else.
  • Auditability: whether the affiliate can verify the number per player and per period.

The hybrid format, smaller CPA plus smaller RevShare, is usually what survives negotiation, provided the CPA is not high enough to become the real objective again.
